BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients
4 chicken thighs
1/2 cup BBQ sauce or make your own

Directions
Preheat the gas grill on high for 5-10 minutes. Put a heat safe temperature probe into 1 or all of the chicken thighs. I use this thermometer. Sear both sides of the chicken thighs for about 1 minute each side. Turn off the heat to a couple of the burners and place the chicken on the side over the burners that have been turned off so they can be grilled with indirect heat. Turn all the other burners to low. Baste the top of the chicken with BBQ sauce. In 7-10 flip the thighs and baste the top with BBQ sauce. Repeat this every 7-10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. This takes around an hour - an hour and a half. If you would like some dark lines on the outside then turn your burners to high heat and place the thighs over the burner for 30 seconds-1 minute or until you've achieved the color you would like. Serve immediately.
