Gluten Free Rice Pilaf

 

1 cup rice, organic white basmati grown in California recommended
1 cup broth
1 cup water
1 Tbsp butter or oil for dairy free
1/2 tsp parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
2 garlic cloves, crushed

Directions
1. Rinse the rice until water runs clear and then pat dry. 
2. Preheat a medium saucepan with about a teaspoon of oil over high heat. Lower the heat to medium and add the rice, stirring frequently until slightly browned. 
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and heat until water is boiling. Turn the heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes. 
4. Fluff the rice pilaf and enjoy!
