Corn on the Cob
Easy peasy. I used to avoid doing corn on the cob because I thought it was complicated and took too long, but when I finally made it for a party, I realized it is one of the easiest sides to make. It takes about 10-15 minutes total if you have corn that's already prepped. If you have to shuck the corn and cut it, it can take about 15-20 minutes longer. It is great fun to gather some friends or family to shuck the corn together.
Ingredients
Corn on the cob
Butter, optional
Directions
If you do not have prepped corn, then gather some help and shuck the corn. This next step is optional but I like having smaller portions of corn. Using a very sharp knife, cut off the ends to each cob and then cut them in half or thirds, depending on what size you would like the portions. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add the cobs, turn the heat down to medium low and simmer for 5-8 minutes. Pull the cobs out with tongs and serve immediately. Enjoy!
