Chocolate Banana Split Soft Serve

If you're craving a banana split but don't want all the calories and dairy then blend up this delicious substitute. It's naturally dairy free, sugar free and low fat.

My ten year old and I came up with this recipe after seeing an episode of Daniel Tiger that my one year old was watching in which they made banana ice cream. We came up with the idea of adding flavors and of course the favorite flavor was chocolate. This far exceeded our expectations and was declared delicious by all who tried it. It was so easy, quick and yummy. Go ahead and whip up a batch of this right now!

Ingredients

3 bananas, frozen

2 Tbsp cocoa powder

¼ cup water

Directions

Place your bananas and cocoa powder in the blender. Blend on low for a couple minutes until somewhat powdery.

Now, if you make the same mistake I did the first time around and tried just adding all the ingredients at once and started blending and scraping, then you will have to add more water at this point to get it to the right consistency. If you followed these instructions, you should be fine with 1/4 cup of water. I am using a Blendtec, so other blenders will have varying results.

Scrape down the sides and add water. Blend on low and scrape as necessary until soft serve consistency is achieved.
